After his terse, petulant “no” in response to a question about his request for an open marriage with his second wife (which has been addressed on TIHANG), Newt insisted he had people who would confirm that her claim was false.

Let me be quite clear. Let me be quite clear. The story is false. Every personal friend I have who knew us in that period said the story was false. We offered several of them to ABC to prove it was false. They weren’t interested because they would like to attack any Republican.

Turns out he was lying, according to his own campaign staffer:

“Tonight, after persistent questioning by our staff, the Gingrich campaign concedes now Speaker Gingrich was wrong — both in his debate answer, and in our interview yesterday,” King said on tonight’s edition of John King USA. “Gingrich spokesman R.C. Hammond says the only people the Gingrich campaign offered to ABC were his two daughters from his first marriage.”

So either Newt is a liar, or his only only personal friends are his daughters.

What a jerk. What a disgusting piece of shit. Not only do you cheat on your wife, you then request that your cheating be redefined as an open marriage, then you lie about it in a debate, then you have a staffer correct you after you’ve won South Carolina (partly due to momentum after that debate). Not to mention, all of this is happening after you made a huge fucking deal out of a former president’s infidelity.

I would vote for Newt Gingrich if he were running for the Presidency of the Hypocritical States of Liemerica.
